What is different about Buckeye
Verrado, Sundance and the Festival Ranch tracts were platted open, and a west-facing patio out here is unusable for a third of the year. Most of our concrete is the footing and pad under something that casts a shadow — a ramada, a pergola, an extended cover — so it is set out for the structure going on top of it rather than poured and drilled into afterwards.
The city is geographically enormous and a pour on the far side of it is a real drive for every truck. We book the concrete in fewer, larger loads, stage what can be staged on site, and set the day around the delivery window instead of running the road four times.
